Over 55,000 people attended the fifth edition of BAM Circus – The Festival of Wonders in the Park, presented by Fondazione Riccardo Catella as part of the cultural programme of BAM – Biblioteca degli Alberi Milano.

During the weekend of 22–24 May, the lawns of BAM were brought to life by 28 of the most important international companies from 7 countries — France, Italy, Germany, Lithuania, the United Kingdom, Argentina and Mexico — with more than 70 events, all free of charge and open to the entire city.

A total of 114 artists took part in the Festival, with site-specific performances designed to interact with nature and enhance the urban space: a distinctive feature of BAM Circus, conceived and directed by Francesca Colombo, General Cultural Manager of BAM. The audience was guided through a suspended universe of physical and puppet theatre, dance, breathtaking acrobatics and, for the first time, evocative fire installations, with 4 national premieres and 5 Milan premieres animating BAM’s large open-air stage.
