THE RESTAURANT
Ratanà aims to revive the strong tradition of Milanese and Lombard cuisine, reinterpreting it in line with the values and needs of contemporary dining.
The restaurant’s name is inspired by the figure of Don Giuseppe Gervasini, known as el pret de Ratanà, a healer-priest who lived in the first half of the 20th century. A controversial and hard-to-define figure, he remains in the memory of thousands of Milanese as a religious man who healed with herbs grown in his garden—gruff and rough in manner, yet always available to everyone.
