Presentation of the 2026 Cultural Programme

Today, the press conference was held to launch the 2026 cultural programme of BAM – Biblioteca degli Alberi Milano, promoted by Fondazione Riccardo Catella.

A programme of more than 300 cultural events, free of charge and open to everyone, conceived and directed by Francesca Colombo, General Cultural Manager of BAM. The theme of the eighth season is “(DIS)Connections”: an invitation to reflect on the value of connections between ideas, people and cultures as a form of collective intelligence capable of generating community and cohesion.

BAM confirms its role as a true open-air cultural ecosystem, where education, inclusion and multiculturalism become concrete tools for active participation in the city.

Between established events and new proposals, the season will open on 29 March with the Multi-Kulti BAM Spring Festival, where dance becomes a space for encounter and cultural exchange. On this occasion, the first artistic residency produced by BAM will also come to life, with an intense collective creation bringing 70 young dancers to the stage.

MiColtivo, Orto a Scuola also continues: the environmental education programme active since 2012, which in 2026 reaches a new milestone with the tenth inauguration of an educational garden at Istituto Comprensivo San Giuseppe Calasanzio.

The 2026 edition is carried out in collaboration with the Municipality of Milan, HW Style and Fondazione BPM, and with the patronage of the Federation of the Orders of Agronomists and Forestry Doctors of Lombardy.

The presentation took place in the presence of Kelly Russell Catella, General Manager of Fondazione Riccardo Catella, and Francesca Colombo, General Cultural Manager of BAM, together with Anna Scavuzzo, Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Milan, Chiara Angeli, Head of Commercial Operations at Volvo Car Italia, and Federico Casini, CEO of Howden. The event concluded with greetings sent by Francesca Caruso, Councillor for Culture of Regione Lombardia.
