On Thursday, 20 March, Fondazione Riccardo Catella inaugurated the new MiColtivo, Orto a Scuola educational garden at IC Via De Andreis, with the participation of more than 300 people.

The inauguration celebration was a special moment of sharing and participation, enriched by music from the school orchestra and speeches by institutions, partners and all those who believe in the importance of educating younger generations about sustainability.

This garden is not just a green space, but a true open-air laboratory, where students will be able to cultivate, observe and understand the value of nature and environmental care. It is an opportunity to learn that respect for the earth is built through small everyday gestures, starting at school.

Speakers included Francesca Scarpino, Headteacher of IC Via De Andreis; Kelly Russell Catella, General Manager of Fondazione Riccardo Catella; Anna Scavuzzo, Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Education of the Municipality of Milan; and Stefano Bianco, President of Municipality 4 of the Municipality of Milan.

Recognised by FLA – Fondazione Lombardia per l’Ambiente as a 2024 Quality Project, MiColtivo confirms its educational value and positive impact on the local area.

The 2025 edition is carried out in collaboration with the Municipality of Milan, with the support of Regione Lombardia through FLA – Fondazione Lombardia per l’Ambiente, Arca Etichette Società Benefit, Buona Società Benefit and Fondazione Maurizio Fragiacomo ETS.
