Fondazione Riccardo Catella is pleased to announce the seventh edition of the Back to the City Concert – Great classical music in the park!

This year’s concert is also the first event that BAM dedicates to the Milano Cortina 26 Cultural Olympiad. For this reason, it will feature the Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto, conducted by Giuseppe Mengoli, and the Coro Città di Piazzola sul Brenta, with Maestro Paolo Piana, together with an exceptional soloist, tenor Stefano Secco. The event will therefore bring together musical institutions from Lombardy and Veneto, the two regions hosting the Games.

The repertoire presented for the occasion has also been conceived and curated as a journey through identity, nature and the Olympic spirit, with masterpieces by Ludwig van Beethoven and Giuseppe Verdi.

The programme will be as follows:

L. v. Beethoven, Symphony No. 6 in F major, Op. 68 “Pastoral”

G. Verdi, Inno alle Nazioni

G. Verdi, “Va’, pensiero” from Nabucco
