Fondazione Riccardo Catella has been active since 2007 with the aim of promoting the culture of responsible and sustainable territorial development by actively contributing to the improvement urban and green spaces through civic and cultural programs.

To the pursuit of the aims of the Foundation, the Board of Directors appointed:

• A Scientific Committee, which oversees the program of cultural activities

• Three Commissions of studies, involved in the management and implementation of cultural projects related to the following subjects: architecture and territory; green areas and urban spaces; culture, design and communication

Riccardo Catella

Riccardo Catella was an entrepreneur with a romantic soul, in love with nature and committed to environment: his projects reflect an approach which gives a centrality to "People" and to the "Quality of Life". His vision was far-sighted and respectful, always enthusiastic as he believed that "Enthusiasm is the spring that drives human growth". The meeting with Gerry Hines in the ‘90s, enabled Riccardo to realize, together with his son Manfredi, the dream of gathering in a single project all the dismissed areas in the heart of Milan. The Foundation that bears his name is the natural crowning of a vision he promoted:
